WAR HORSES FOR FIRST RESPONDERS

First Responder Course Description
War Horses for Veterans offers a five-day program, designed to first responders with skills for success, leadership development, and personal growth through communication and personal evaluation. During this course, attendees will start with team building, grooming horses, and developing their communication skills while understanding their own personal leadership styles.
Course Goals

Develop an understanding of basic personal communication.

Understand the importance of clear communication while building relationships.

Gain a working knowledge of your personal leadership qualities.

Understand the importance of self-regulation.

Be mindful of being fully engaged and in the moment.

Obtain a foundation of E-colors and how they apply to daily life at home and work.
Class Participation
During this course, attendees will have the opportunity to work with and around horses. Attendees will be asked to take a brief personality assessment through www.equilibria.com. This assessment will take approximately fifteen minutes to complete. During the horse handling portion of this course attendees are asked to participate but are not required to handle horses. All interactions during the course will be civil, respectful, and supportive of others attending.
