Our flagship five-day program equips combat veterans and first responders with skills for successful leadership after adversity.

During this course, attendees partner with performance caliber horses to go from ground work to a full lope. Participants learn to rope horseback and work cattle in a group setting, developing greater skills for team building and communication in real time.

What began with the NSHA in Las Vegas has now grown into a tradition that showcases the courage, skill, and grit of our participants on one of the biggest stages in the performance horse world - the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity in
Ft Worth, TX.

We say it all the time, the ranch is just the beginning. What happens after someone leaves matters just as much.
That’s where real-life picks back up, and where people need access to the right support, tools, and direction. We also know not everyone will come through a program, but that doesn’t mean they should go without resources.

War Horse Resources website was built as a public, open platform connecting military active duty/veterans and first responders to trusted resources across mental wellness, peer support, fitness and readiness, legal and advocacy, family support, community, and more.
Nothing on the site is random. Everything is there on purpose. It is meant to be explored. You might come looking for one thing and find something else that meets you right where you are. This is an extension of our mission, beyond the ranch, beyond the week, and into real life.
